AWC Tulsa Professional Chapter
Rising Star Communicator Award
Get your application ready!
The deadline is February 28th.
Students must meet the following
criteria to apply:

•    freshman year of undergraduate study completed
•    Enrollment in at least nine undergraduate hours
     with a major or minor in a communications field
•    Membership in good standing (dues paid)
     in the OSU AWC student chapter
•    Attendance at the May 5th Newsmakers Luncheon
      if selected for the scholarship

Recipient selection is based on:
•    Demonstrated excellence in communications
•    Positive contributions to communications on campus
     and/or in the community
•    Academic achievement

Applicants must submit the following:
•    One-page resume with school activities, internships,
     jobs, professional activities, honors and achievements
•    300-500 word essay describing why the nominee
     chose the communications field and how the nominee
     will use the profession to make a difference
•    Letters of recommendation from people with
     academic or professional experience in
    communications (Letters cannot come from the 
    student chapter’s AWC Tulsa Professional Chapter
    liaison.)

•    College transcripts (photocopies accepted).
     Do not send transcripts separately.
